The AIPM continues to explore ways in which leadership can help grow the connection between police and First Nations peoples. This will require a different conversation, and a renewed understanding of our Indigenous history and how the role of the police intersects with that history. What better place to start than our own back yard – the incredible piece of land upon which we are privileged to sit. We recently consulted with our local indigenous elders to find out more about Car-rang-gel, the land on which the AIPM sits. This NAIDOC week we would like to share an outtake from the ‘Story of place’ video that resulted.
